Thoughts truly do become things no matter what it is you’ve got on your mind. If you’re always thinking about lack and debt, all you’ll be able to see and focus on is lack and debt. If you begin to notice and speak about prosperity and happiness, you’ll attract more of that to you as well.

Positive self-talk is imperative to every aspect of life – especially your financial health. It’s not hard to trace your current situation back to its roots through your thoughts, which created your habits which created either positive or negative cash flow.

If you’re ready for different results in your bank accounts, it’s time to change up your words so everything in your life can begin to shift into the black as well.

1. I get to. The “I have to’s” of your vocabulary are now a thing of the past. From now on you get to go to the store (because you’re blessed to have a car that will get you there; lights on so you can see where you put your keys; and money to pay for the groceries!) You also get to swing the pendulum toward empowering rather than overwhelming yourself since you get to (and have the means to) pay off the credit cards, buy new shoes with that extra money and even take that vacation you’ve had to put off for the last seven years.

2. I will. The I will mindset keeps you focused on process and the end result. For instance, you will  get that credit card debt paid off as opposed to focusing on the seemingly insurmountable debt itself. And you will be able to enjoy life today because you have a financial freedom plan in place and no longer have to be bogged down by worry or fear.

3. I choose. Every decision you make – or don’t make — is a choice. Your life is your responsibility, and while that can sound intimidating or scary to some people it’s actually a power move in your favor. Think about it this way: any time you hear yourself saying something in the negative like “I can’t” or “I’ll never,” you get to choose different. If you’re used to saying you can’t pay your bills on time, choose to set up autopay for each of your accounts so that you If you believe you’ll never have enough money or time, choose to reach out to a financial planner or an organizer so you will be able to learn how have more than enough money and time to do the things you get to do.
